Raj Mathur (Shah Rukh Khan), a carefree owner of a small trucking company, falls in love with Priya Chopra (Rani Mukerji), a successful fashion designer from a wealthy family. Despite their differences and her engagement to another man, they get married after winning over her parents. However, as Raj struggles financially and can't meet Priya's expectations, their relationship begins to fray, leading to a bitter separation that threatens to destroy them forever.
