A cinematic tribute to the tumultuous life of Indian sex symbol Silk Smitha, 'The Dirty Picture' tells the story of Reshma, a young woman from rural Tamil Nadu who runs away from home to pursue her dreams of becoming a film actress. With a series of sensual dance numbers that catapult her to stardom, Reshma establishes herself as a powerful and provocative performer in 1980s India. But behind the glamour lies a complex web of relationships, rejection, and criticism, as she navigates the cutthroat world of Bollywood and challenges the double standards of society along the way.
