Essential Killing

A Taliban soldier struggles to survive after he escapes his captors and flees into the Polish countryside, where he must fight for survival in a frozen woodland pursued by soldiers, and find ways to obtain food through both nature and human encounters, all while being nursed back to health by a woman before ultimately seeming to perish as the first shoots of spring appear.
