Final Summer

"Final Summer" (2023) is a proficiently-made Indie slasher that pays homage to the original "Friday the 13th" films from over four decades ago. With its great sylvan cinematography and effective use of atmosphere, including a full moon and fog, this horror movie effectively evokes an air of creepiness. However, its dull storytelling and unremarkable twists leave the film feeling forgettable despite its proficient production values and convincing performances from its diverse cast.
