In the heart of Long Island's Gold Coast, a private school's affluence is starkly juxtaposed with the poverty and instability of its most unlikely student, Hardy Buchanan. Desperate to save his beloved family dog Walter from surgery, Hardy teams up with a mysterious runaway named Bo, an aimless socialite with secrets of her own, in an unconventional scheme targeting wealthy classmates. As their plan spirals out of control, Hardy must confront the consequences of his choices and decide what kind of person he wants to be - one torn between saving his family's future and rebuilding his own life.
