Berlin Blues

In the vibrant, crumbling microcosm of SO 36, a lethargic sub-culture of students, artists, and barflys has thrived for 28 years, cut off from the rest of West Berlin by the infamous Wall. Against this backdrop, bartender Frank Lehmann navigates a life marked by apathy and disconnection, until his carefully constructed world is disrupted by the arrival of his parents, a tumultuous affair with cook Katrin, and the unpredictable behavior of his best friend Karl. As the walls literally come tumbling down, Frank's life begins to unravel, revealing the complexities and fragilities beneath the surface of this eccentric community.
