Catfish

Nev Schulman (Self), Ariel Schulman (Self), Angela Wesselman-Pierce (Self), Melody C. Roscher (Self), Henry Joost (Self) play fictionalized versions of themselves in this documentary about a young photographer who builds a romantic relationship with a young woman on Facebook, only to discover that she's been catfishing him through her family. The film follows Nev and his friends as they travel to Michigan to confront the truth behind the online deception. Along the way, Nev learns more about Angela, the woman behind the fake profiles, and her own struggles with her life and career. Ultimately, the film reveals a complex web of lies and deceit that had been perpetrated against Nev, leading him to reevaluate his own relationships and experiences.
