Blackadder's Christmas Carol is a parody of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol, set between Blackadder the Third and Blackadder Goes Forth, narrated by Hugh Laurie as Prince Regent / Pigmot. Ebenezer Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson), the nicest man in England, is visited by the Spirit of Christmas (Robbie Coltrane) to show him visions of his unscrupulous ancestors, leading him to admire them and their wit. He wakes up a different man on Christmas morning: bitter, vengeful, greedy, and insulting to everyone he meets, including Baldrick (Tony Robinson).
