Far from the Tree

On an idyllic beach in the Pacific Northwest, curiosity gets the better of a young raccoon whose frustrated parent attempts to keep them both safe. Years later, she finds herself and her son in similar circumstances, but this time, she's determined to break the cycle of fear and anger that was passed down through generations. The film follows the story of Marie, a young raccoon who embarks on adventures with her father, only to repeat the same mistakes and scars as he did when he was younger. With a newfound understanding and gentle approach, Marie learns to pass on love and kindness to her son instead.
