Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) reluctantly agrees to go on a date with Ms. Meyers, an elder who lives at the nursing home, after agreeing to something over the phone. Dug (Bob Peterson), Carl's loyal companion, steps in to offer some advice and helps him prepare for the date.
