Stuart Saves His Family

Stuart Saves His Family follows the misadventures of self-help guru Stuart Smalley as he attempts to rescue both his dysfunctional family and his struggling public-access television show. After losing his temper on air, Stuart's show is canceled, but he eventually returns to Minneapolis to try and mend his relationships with his domineering father, a heavy drinker; his mother, who minimizes his behavior; and his siblings, including Jodie, who struggles with compulsive overeating, and Donnie, who lives with the family and uses marijuana. Along the way, Stuart learns that he can't change his relatives, but is responsible only for his own actions.
