The Boys of St. Vincent

The Boys of St. Vincent is a 1992 Canadian television miniseries based on the true story of boys being sexually abused at their orphanage, run by a religious community in Newfoundland. The first film, Part One, covers the sexual and physical abuse of orphans by Brothers headed by Brother Peter Lavin (Henry Czerny), including Kevin Reevey, a 10-year-old boy who tries to avoid Lavin's attentions but is returned to the orphanage by police after attempting to run away. The second film, Part Two, covers the trial of the Brothers and the long-term effects of the abuse 15 years later, as the victims now men in their mid-20s take the stand against Lavin, who remains in denial about his actions.
