Ben, a 27-year-old marketing creative, lives in a large apartment in Melbourne with his flatmates. He frequently changes jobs and moves house due to feeling restless, is sexually promiscuous, and has a history of short-term relationships. Ben attends a school reunion where he reconnects with Alex, now a human rights lawyer for the UN in Yemen, who works eight times throughout the film between Melbourne and Yemen as she addresses her high school about her achievements and travels back to Australia.
