Pain Hustlers

In 2011, Liza Drake (Emily Blunt) is a struggling single mother living out of her sister's garage in Florida with her epileptic daughter Phoebe. Working as an exotic dancer, she is offered a lucrative job by customer Pete Brenner (Chris Evans), who rewrites her resume and convinces the pharmaceutical company Zanna to hire her despite her lack of qualifications. Liza soon becomes embroiled in a criminal conspiracy selling prescription drugs, including the opioid Lonafen, which becomes a highly addictive medication that leads to widespread abuse and overdose deaths. As the truth about Zanna's activities comes to light, Liza must confront the consequences of her own actions and those of her bosses, including Dr. Neel (Andy Garcia), in order to bring them to justice.
