The Falls

In a surreal and playful mockumentary style, director Peter Greenaway presents "The Falls", a 92-part experimental film chronicling the mysterious aftermath of a cataclysmic event known as the "Violent Unknown Event" that left 19 million people obsessed with birds and flight. Through a series of biographical vignettes, Greenaway explores the lives of survivors whose surnames begin with FALL, weaving together found footage, non-narrative sequences, and snippets of avant-garde music to create a dreamlike portrait of transformation and wonder.
