In the Line of Fire

In the Line of Fire is a 1993 American political action thriller film directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Clint Eastwood as Frank Horrigan, John Malkovich as Mitch Leary, Rene Russo as Lilly Raines, Dylan McDermott as Al D'Andrea, and Gary Cole as Bill Watts. The story follows Horrigan, a disillusioned Secret Service agent haunted by his failure to save President Kennedy's life 30 years ago, who must confront his past when a mysterious man known as "Booth" threatens the current President. As Horrigan tracks down Booth, he learns that the assassin is actually Mitch Leary, a skilled killer who was once a CIA operative and seeks revenge on his former masters.
