Amityville: Vanishing Point

The film opens with the death of a young woman named Margaret East in Amityville, New York. Margaret lived in a Bohemian boarding house, and her death is being investigated by Hank Denton, an obnoxious man who is referred to as both a detective and an FBI agent. Selena Mars stars as Ms. Aphrodite Ernie, the boarding house's owner, who convinces Hank to stay at the Amityville Boarding House. Tensions run high as Margaret's friends begin to suspect she may still be alive; and as Hank's behavior becomes more out of control, the house itself may very well be turning on its residents.
