After 26 years of trying to make it big, Dexter Reed's latest invention backfires, leaving him without a home or business. He reunites with Ed at his old workplace Good Burger, where he must navigate a new crew and familiar faces, including Fizz the frozen employee who's been thawed out after 22 years. As Dexter devises a plan to get back on his feet, he uncovers a secret involving a successor to their old rival restaurant, setting him on a collision course with MegaCorp, a conglomerate that wants to turn Good Burger into a global franchise and replace its employees with robots.
