Romeo Is Bleeding

A 1993 neo-noir crime thriller that sets up a cat-and-mouse game between a corrupt cop and a ruthless mob assassin who start to fall in love. The film follows Jack Grimaldi, a NYPD homicide detective with a lavish lifestyle funded by Mafia boss Don Falcone, as he's assigned to kill the hitwoman Mona Demarkov, but instead finds himself entangled in her web of seduction and deceit. Mona betrays Jack by turning him in to the police, leading to a bloody confrontation that ends with his transformation into a new identity.
