Humanoids from the Deep

In the 1980 science fiction horror film "Humanoids from the Deep," Doug McClure stars as Jim Hill, a fisherman whose village is terrorized by humanoid marine creatures that kill men and rape women. The monsters are created by Canco's experiments with genetically augmented salmon, which have escaped into the ocean and been eaten by large fish, mutating into brutal humanoids. As the bodies pile up, Jim teams up with scientist Dr. Susan Drake (Ann Turkel) to stop the creature onslaught, while also dealing with the personal trauma inflicted on his family and community. The film's climax features a disturbing twist as one of its survivors gives birth to a monstrous offspring.
