Amber Pollock, a mean and popular high school senior, dies after being named Prom Queen in an electrifying accident. As she navigates Limbo, she's tasked with transforming the least popular student, Lisa Sommers, into the next Prom Queen at the makeup prom to secure her spot in Heaven. Along the way, Amber guides Lisa through a transformation from outcast to queen bee, but their plan takes a complicated turn when Carlita, Amber's former friend and rival, decides to run for Prom Queen herself.
