The Holdovers

Set in 1970, "The Holdovers" is a Christmas comedy-drama about a strict classics teacher at a New England boarding school who is forced to chaperone five students who have nowhere to go during the holiday break. The film follows the unlikely bond that forms between the teacher and one of the students - a damaged, brainy troublemaker - as well as with the school's head cook, who has just lost her son in Vietnam.
