Origin: Spirits of the Past

In a post-apocalyptic future, Earth is ravaged by genetically modified trees that have awakened the planet's forests, which now threaten humanity. A young boy named Agito discovers a mysterious machine in a forbidden sanctuary and accidentally revives Toola, a centuries-long-sleeping girl who carries a powerful device that could destroy the Forest. As Toola joins forces with a soldier who has been "enhanced" by the Forest's power to fight against humanity, Agito must confront his destiny and team up with his friends to save the Forest from destruction. Along the way, he learns about the two-way exchange between humans and trees that gives both extraordinary strength and life-giving powers.
