The Boy Who Cried Werewolf

This 2010 Nickelodeon production is a surprisingly watchable "teen angst over traumatic event" coming of age story with a really good preternatural twist to it. Targeting younger kids, but also delivering a subtle message of empowerment to kids and women, particularly in the lead role of an awkward teenager who transforms into a werewolf after accidentally stepping on a vial of infected blood. With a blend of comedy, drama, family, fantasy, and horror genres, this film is a fun watch that balances lighthearted moments with a compelling story about self-discovery and overcoming adversity.
