17-year-old Justine Alice Parker (Laura Fraser) creates her perfect man in a virtual reality machine after being stood-up on a date and attending a virtual reality exhibition with her friend Chas Lovett (Luke de Lacey). After a freak power-cut, she finds herself inside that male body, becoming her own ideal mate. Naming this alternate self "Jake" (Rupert Penry-Jones), he moves in with Chas to try and come to terms with being a teenage boy.
