Why We Fight

Prelude to War examines the differences between democratic and fascist states through the lens of World War II. The film uses compare and contrast methods to portray the United States as a beacon of freedom and democracy, in stark contrast to the totalitarian regimes of Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, and Hirohito. Featuring archival footage, including a segment from Nazi's Triumph des Willen, the film aims to educate American troops about the necessity of combating the Axis powers during World War II.
