Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey

Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey, is a 1977 stop motion animated television special about a donkey named Nestor who lives in a Roman stable and is teased for his unusually long ears. One night, he's left behind by his owner and must navigate through the desert before meeting a cherub named Tilly who guides him to Bethlehem where he helps Mary and Joseph find shelter from a sandstorm. The special ends with Nestor returning home as a hero.
