Princess of Mars

In this 2009 science fiction film, a US soldier named John Carter is inexplicably transported to Mars in the midst of a war between two alien races, where he finds himself enslaved among the Tharks. After earning their respect and later saving the human-like princess Dejah Thoris from death, Carter must navigate the treacherous politics of his new surroundings and confront an Afghan mercenary named Sarka. With the fate of the planet hanging in the balance, Carter's skills are put to the test as he fights for survival and seeks a way back home.
