Everybody's Fine

In this poignant and humorous Italian drama, Marcello Mastroianni plays Matteo Scuro, a retired Sicilian bureaucrat who sets out to surprise each of his five adult children during their summer vacation, expecting them to be busy with responsible jobs. As he travels by train across Italy, he finds that none of his children are as he imagined, and instead seems to embody the opera characters after whom they were named - a clever and touching commentary on the complexities of family dynamics and identity.
