The Queen of Spain

Penélope Cruz stars as Macarena Granada, a successful Hollywood actress who returns to Francoist Spain to film a big-budget historical epic about Queen Isabella I. To rescue her imprisoned former love interest, Spanish director Blas Fontiveros (Antonio Resines), Macarena and the film crew devise an elaborate plan to break him out of jail during the filming of a ballroom scene at a royal palace.
