El Greco

The film "El Greco" (2007) tells a fictionalized biography of Greek painter Domenicos Theotokopoulos, known as El Greco, who sets out from his homeland Crete to find freedom and love in Venice and Toledo, facing the Spanish Inquisition along the way. Character actor Juan Diego Botto portrays Fernando Niño de Guevara, a Spanish priest who confronts El Greco before the Inquisition. The movie is based on Dimitris Siatopoulos' novel "El Greco: o Zografos tou Theou" and stars Nick Ashdon as the iconic artist.
