The Hitch-Hiker

Edmond O'Brien and Frank Lovejoy star in The Hitch-Hiker, directed by Ida Lupino, as two friends who are taken hostage by a serial-murdering hitchhiker on a trip to Mexico. The film follows their desperate attempts to escape the killer, Emmett Myers, who has already kidnapped and murdered three other motorists. With Myers' peculiar physical affliction - an eye that never closes even when he sleeps - making it impossible for them to tell when they can make a break for it.
