The End of Man

A mysterious man emerges from the ocean, naked and seemingly unphased by the world's reaction to his appearance, as he wanders through a town and begins to affect its inhabitants in unexpected ways. He dons an elaborate outfit and walks among the crowds, attracting followers who see him as a messiah with supernatural powers. As his reputation grows, so do the warnings about his supposed abilities, but our enigmatic hero remains deadpan and detached. In the end, it is revealed that this modern-day messianic figure has actually returned to an insane asylum, leaving behind a trail of wonder and confusion.
