Tucker Ostrowski (Mitchel Musso) recently graduated from college and needs a job to pay his own way after his parents filed for personal bankruptcy. He applies for a summer job at Old Time Fun Town amusement park and is accepted as Hoppy the Kangaroo without any questions asked. At work, he meets two veteran mascots, Jerry (Miles D) as Cap'n Jack's Parrot and Stu (Marc Musso) as Paws the Polar Bear. The park general manager, Benjamin Fletcher (Walt Willey), reveals plans to boost attendance by reintroducing Hoppy and other costumed performers, including a custom-made blue whale costume designed by Don Cluff. Tucker forms friendships with Sam and Jerry at the park, while also visiting his friend Samantha (Sam) who works at the Haven House, a home for retired people with health problems.
