The Man in Grey

Margaret Lockwood stars as Hesther Shaw Barbary in this 1943 British melodrama film about a young woman who marries a disinterested lord for status, but falls in love with a stage actor while her best friend from boarding school enters an affair with her husband. Phyllis Calvert plays Clarissa Richmond Rohan, James Mason is the spoiled and ruthless Marquiss of Rohan, Stewart Granger portrays Swinton Rokeby / Peter Rokeby, and Antony Scott as Harry Scott appears in a brief role.
