The film "Cell" (2016) follows artist Clayton 'Clay' Riddell (John Cusack), who embarks on a perilous journey to reunite with his young son Johnny after a mysterious signal broadcast over the global cell phone network turns most humans into violent, killer creatures. With the help of survivors Tom McCourt (Samuel L. Jackson) and Alice Maxwell, Clay faces treacherous challenges as they attempt to escape Boston and navigate through post-apocalyptic New England to find Sharon and Johnny.
