When Grandma Spankenheimer gets run over by Santa's reindeer on Christmas Eve, her beloved family sets out to prove that Santa is indeed real and find their wayward grandmother. Young Jake leads the charge, using his determination and resourcefulness to unravel a web of deceit spun by his greedy cousin Mel and businessman Austin Bucks.
