In a hilarious twist of fate, "You Don't Choose Your Family" follows César Borgnoli, an Italian car salesman with a penchant for living large, as he takes on the unlikeliest of gigs: posing as his sister's husband to facilitate a Thai girl's adoption. What starts as a laugh-out-loud scheme quickly spirals out of control, landing César in the midst of a chaotic cultural clash between local authorities, shady triads, and a determined orphanage director. Will this hapless charmer navigate the treacherous waters of international adoption, or will his own questionable morals sink him?
