In this biting satire, teenage girl Mary Cummings navigates a treacherous landscape of Christian fervor and peer pressure after discovering her boyfriend's secret: he may be gay. As she attempts to "cure" him of his homosexuality by losing her virginity, Mary finds herself pregnant and ostracized by her schoolmates. With her world turned upside down, Mary must confront the hypocrisy and cruelty of those around her, all while questioning her own faith and finding unlikely allies in her journey towards self-discovery.
