Man of Iron

In this lesser-known tale, the same directors who brought us the intense rise-and-fall story of Boxer From Shantung reunite to chronicle a new Shanghai gangster's ascent and descent, twenty years after the tragic events of its predecessor. Set in the same city but with no connection to the previous film, Man of Iron presents a fresh yet similarly gritty exploration of crime and corruption in 1970s Hong Kong. With its similar tone and style to Boxer, this sequel offers a compelling look into the darker side of Shanghai's underworld, thanks to the direction of Chang Cheh and Pao Hsueh-li.
