Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard), a reclusive author struggling with writer's block, finds herself at the center of a real-life spy thriller when her latest novel eerily predicts the covert actions of a secret organization known as the Division. With the help of Aidan Wilde (Sam Rockwell), an actual spy who saves Elly from an ambush, they embark on a globe-trotting adventure to uncover the truth behind the Division's sinister plans and Elly's own mysterious past. Along the way, Elly must navigate her double identity as both a spy and a novelist, all while being aided by her cat, Alfie (voiced by Jason Schwartzman).
