Aging widow Marnie Minervini relocates to Los Angeles to be near her daughter Lori, a successful screenwriter, and showers her with motherly love. However, as Lori sets strict personal boundaries, Marnie channels her optimism and generosity to change the lives of others – including her own – and finds a new purpose in life through unexpected friendships, romance, and self-discovery.
