A Man Alone

Wes Steele (Ray Milland), a notorious gunfighter, stumbles upon the aftermath of a stagecoach robbery in the Arizona desert, where all passengers were brutally murdered. He takes one of the horses to Mesa to report the crime, but becomes a target for blame and hostility in town. Accused of both the stagecoach robbery and the murder of local banker Stanley, Steele finds refuge with Sheriff Gil Corrigan's daughter Nadine (Mary Murphy), who helps him nurse the ailing sheriff back to health.
