Beyond the Limits

A rookie journalist named Vivian seeks out Frederick, the caretaker of an ancient cemetery, for an interview about two mysterious "costumers" connected by a secret. Meanwhile, a powerful gangster Jimmie Levinson orders the killing of his former partner Paul Pattuchi's girlfriend Clarice, and is later visited at a dinner party by Robert Downing and the sadistic Mortimer, who are investigating a suitcase with a mysterious relic. A second story takes place in the Middle Ages, where a cruel priest named David Deming and his minion Tom Brewster chase a renegade priest James Flynn in search of a secret to grant immortality, known as the Eternal Heart.
