A Summer Story

A young lawyer from London, Mr. Ashton, is on a walking holiday in Devon when he twists his ankle and seeks help at a nearby farmhouse. There, he falls for the village girl, Megan David, despite her cousin's disapproval. Eighteen years later, Ashton, now married to Stella, revisits the farm where he seduced Megan and learns she died soon after giving birth to their son, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Ashton as a young man, now herding sheep on Dartmoor.
