"Cessationist" delves into the controversy surrounding Charismatic and Pentecostal Christianity, questioning whether miraculous gifts like speaking in tongues have indeed ceased to exist. Through an examination of scripture and history, the film explores the opposing views of charismatic leaders Joel Beeke and Steven Lawson, and theologian Justin Peters. What emerges is a nuanced exploration of the nature of faith, evidence, and conviction.
