In 1901, a young Chilean tracker and mestizo named Segundo joins a Scottish veteran and an American mercenary on an expedition to delimit and reclaim lands in Patagonia for a wealthy landowner José Menéndez. The supposedly administrative mission is actually a thinly veiled front to violently hunt and clear the lands of the Onas, the native inhabitants of Tierra del Fuego. The Selknam genocide lies at the core of this gripping tale well told, which offers an absolutely brutally honest account of racism and colonialism, shedding light on the grim truth of the situation through the cinematographer's fantastic decisions.
