In 1938 Italy, seventeen-year-old Ginia (Yle Vianello) leaves her rural home for Turin, seeking adventure and a new life. She soon finds herself swept up in an unfamiliar world of discovery with enigmatic Amelia (Deva Cassel), whose sensuality and confidence embolden her to begin modeling for bohemian artists.
