Snack Shack

In a summer of rebellion and self-discovery, two inseparable teenage friends, AJ and Moose, take a risk by running the local pool's snack shack, only to have their plans upended when they meet Brooke, an effortlessly cool lifeguard who shakes things up in their lives. As AJ becomes smitten with Brooke, he must navigate his friendship with Moose, now complicated by feelings of jealousy and rivalry, all while facing bullies and learning to confront the uncertainty of growing up. With a semi-autobiographical twist based on the director's own childhood experience, Snack Shack is a coming-of-age comedy that explores the complexities of male friendship, love, and loss in small-town Nebraska City.
