Gillian Anderson as Emily Maitlis is at the center of securing Prince Andrew's infamous interview for Newsnight. The film tells the story of how women, led by Sam McAlister (Billie Piper), negotiated with the Buckingham Palace establishment to secure the "scoop of the decade" regarding Prince Andrew's friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of his sexual assault of a minor. With the help of Amanda Thirsk (Keeley Hawes) and PR representative Jason Stein, they successfully arrange an exclusive interview that would become a public catalyst for the downfall of the Duke of York.
